We've had a number of different sets of pans over the years and while not the most expensive, this set is probably the nicest. My wife used to sell Pampered Chef and we bought some stainless steel pans. Food stuck like crazy. We've had a set of real Calphalon (anodized exterior but without the non-stick interior). They were pretty good, but also had a tendency for food to stick. Then we had set of the "Green Pan" stuff with the ceramic non-stick. Until now, they were my favorite, although with time, food has begun to stick to them too. They were also the off-white interior and stained. These new Gotham Steel Professional pans are fantastic! The quality and attention to detail is outstanding. They're nearly identical to the Calphalon we used to have (with the added feature of the copper/ceramic non-stick interior) and are much heavier and better quality than the standard Gotham Steel pans we're checked out in the department store. We still use a bit of oil when cooking and eggs just slide out. The color is absolutely beautiful. The pans were extremely well packaged. The lids fit perfectly. While less expensive than either of the "high-end" brands we've owned, they are as good or better in every way. Well done, Gotham Steel.
