Perfect for beginners - but you need to buy a couple more things.
I've been reloading with this kit for over a year now. It's fantastic quality, and I've been really pleased. The only shortcoming of this kit is the scale (I bought a digital scale to make things easier on myself). If someone were inclined to use the scale, it would just take time to decipher it - it's a little confusing. Upon buying this kit, you will need the following to really start reloading: Digital scale (optional, as mentioned before) Reloading dies (Lee carbide dies don't require case lube and work fantastic!) Lee Breech Lock Bushings (you put your dies in these so you can change between dies fast - sooo worth the money) Calipers (use factory ammo as a guide for length, or use manual suggestions) Brass (pick up at the range, buy or save your own) Bullets (Barry's plated bullets are great quality at a reasonable price) Always follow reloading manual suggestions, take your time, and be mindful of the process. Reloading is fun and rewarding, but obviously carries some hazards with it. I find it satisfying to reuse brass instead of letting it sit at the range. Reduce/reuse/recycle! All in, once you're ready to reload you should have a couple hundred dollars invested when starting with this kit - and you'll pay that off in no time. A 50 round box of 9mm costs around $15-$20 here...I reload for about $5-6 per box on average. I've reloaded about 1000 rounds. My equipment has paid for itself, AND I now practice at the range a lot more because I've always got plenty of ammo on hand.
