When I received my order, I immediately smelled truffle & thought wow this should be good if I can smell it before even opening! Come Thanksgiving & thought this would be great with the mashed potatoes. When I opened the box, the aroma was even stronger & soon discovered why...the cap was broken & spillage has occurred! I don't know if it broke during shipping or because it was packed in a single thin bubble wrap but needless to say, I believe the flavor has already started to dissipate due to not being able to tighten & therefore preserve any flavor. UPDATE: Today I received a replacement bottle and am happy to report that this time not only was the bottle bubble wrapped but it was also shipped in a bubble wrap envelope. I immediately opened the package and am happy to report that this bottle arrived intact and unbroken. I am very impressed that a) I was shipped a replacement right away, b) better packaging ensuring an unbroken bottle c) the aroma is great and d) the flavor is incredible and very earthy! I cannot wait to try it on many products.
