I don’t play apocalyptic video games, so my review may lack contemporary relevance, although I live in Oklahoma, so maybe not so much. I just finished the first episode and my heart’s still shaking from the brilliant choreography of pulse pounding action. My foots still tapping from the modern electro 90s-tinged Rezner soundtrack, and I’m both hopeful that there’s another brilliant series of action comic justice to balance out the mass market hate speach and fear mongering of our times, and saddened by the realization that the narrative, written only a short time ago, has failed to predict the acuteness of the slippery slope we’ve so quickly descended.
