64 oz bowl is plenty big enough for my 2 Border Collie dogs...1 and 2 yrs old. On days when drink alot because of running and playing hard I may have to add some water, but normally fill it up in morning and still not empty at bed time. Stays colder than a normal water bowl but not ice cold. If want that just add some ice cubes throughout the day.
