I got the 12 inch model. No lumps no weird smells came fully packaged in its little 96lb box. Unpacked and inflated near instantly. Slept on it several hours after opening. I was really worried about how soft and overall solid it would be. Im 6 3 320lbs so sinking into a mattress is a major concern for me shopping for a mattress. Im happy and extremely surprised to say that this thing is nice and firm i barely make a dent in it sitting straight up but at the same time its soft enough to sleep comfortably. It has great edge support. I have a tendency to slide over to and sleep on the edges of beds and I havent woken up once feeling like im going to fall of. YES I also am using this with an ADJUSTABLE BED frame and it works great. No problems in any of the positions whatsoever. I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone whos bigger heavy or just a large person. Ive had it for a month now
