Update- the company sent me a new pitcher at no cost that is much better. Updated from 2 stars to 4. Well assuming the test results posted on their website this filter does a great job of removing things that you don't want to drink...... unfortunately as a pitcher it is so poorly designed as to almost be unusable!! The design must have done by an artist rather than an industrial designer, as it lacks a very necessary component, a way to relieve pressure so that the water will flow freely! All it needs is a small hole near the handle to allow air to replace the water you are pouring out. This means that any time you try to poor it, it will come out with large "GLUG GLUG GLUG" rather than a smooth pour, and the water spills everywhere. Forget about pouring it into anything smaller than a pint glass, and even then it will sometimes suddenly glug everywhere. Due to this extremely glaring flaw, it makes me wonder how it has so many 5 star reviews..... the amount of perfect reviews this thing has that don't mention the pouring issue at all makes me very suspicious. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it yet, but buyer beware!
