Whiter than most halogens, short of HID and LED
Vehicle: 2014 Ford Taurus Limited
Bulb size: HIR2/9012 (9006 also fits)
Overall, I like them. I took out one of my Xenon bulbs and put this in. It is definitely whiter than stock halogen, not as white as Xenon or LED - I didn't expect them to be. I have a 5000K HID kit on my car. It is white, without any tint of blue or yellow. If 5000K is accurate, I'd put these at 4200K-4700K.
They are whiter than all Silverstar halogens I've seen, including the Ultra and XtraVision. I've never seen the Silverstar zXe.
In projection headlights, these will give you a nice, even light pattern from left to right. If adjusted properly, you'll have a distinct line at the top of your light pattern.
The bright lights are pretty good. You probably get a farther down road beam with these, whereas you'll get brighter, floodier spill with LED. Xenon bulb patterns seem to be somewhere in between, leaning more toward a better pattern and cleaner lines. These also won't last as long as Xenon bulbs and nowhere near as long as LED. These do most of what they claim though, but "Xenon look" is somewhat of an overstatement.
UPDATE: I got a chance to try the Silverstar ZXE halogens. These are comparable to those. The ZXE might be a little whiter, but the Philips is somewhat brighter. Since halogens are yellow by nature, they need to be coated blue to look white. The more coating you put on, the whiter it will appear, but you sacrifice brightness. Both the ZXE and CrystalVision are very similar.
