All in all I love this remote! It's pretty small and find myself constantly digging for it in between the couch cushions. My original remote is still functioning but will stop working from time to time. I bought a replacement to be prepared for when it died!!. I almost thought i received a doa replacement as it took me several tries to get this to pair up! i followed the instructions verbatim several times with no luck. Even put in brand new batteries just in case the ones provided were dead, Nothing!!! Here is how i paired mine just in case anyone else is experiencing the same issue give these steps a try prior to filing a return. 1 If your original is still working remove the batteries so it will go offline. 2 Make sure replacement remote has new batteries (sometimes the ones provided are dead) 3 Unplug the power to your fire box/stick (this will make it restart) 4 Plug the power back in to your fire box/stick 5 Wait for the home screen to load 6 Hold down the home button on the replacement remote until it pairs up (this now forces the device to pair to the replacement remote as it is the only remote online) 7 Once it pairs select the new remote from the list (done) 8 You will notice your old remote is still paired but offline 9 Now you can put the batteries back in the old remote and both remotes will work simultaneously Hope this helps anyone having issues with the pairing process CHEERS!
