2017 Merry Christmas story... We originally bought this dish rack in 2013 when it had a slotted bamboo knife holder (miss that feature!). We were very happy with it until one of the wire feet broke off. This is the fragile part that other reviewers talk about - the area of plastic where the wire feet attach to the base - it’s really the Achilles heel of the design! Our original rack had a 3-year warranty and, of course, the foot broke off just after 3 years. I didn’t want to spend $80 to get another dish rack that would break in 3 years, so I got the OXO Good Grips Convertible dish rack for $40. I liked that dish rack, but my wife hated it and complained that it was too small. My solution was to get a second OXO, but she demanded that we get another full size Simple Human dish rack. Since I am the cook and she is the dish washer, I searched in vain for a bargain at TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, etc. but only could find the small version of the Simple Human dish rack. I finally found a good price on Amazon (Black Friday Lightening Deal) and put it under the tree for Xmas 2017. What’s funny is that this dish rack was my wife’s most prized gift, beating out jewelry and a new Vitamix! They say in marriage, it’s the little things that make a difference. Who new that a dish rack could bring such marital bliss? Bottom line - this is the one and only dish rack that works for us and we will keep buying it despite its flaws. It works great, looks great, and now has a 5-year warranty. So it’s 5 stars simply because nothing else will do! When (not if) it breaks, we will get a warranty replacement or buy another. I’ll put another under the tree for Xmas 2022!
