Gumby is a favorite at my house. We own several. I originally bought 2 for my dogs that live with my ex, but my then foster dog, Larkin, found them and fell in love with them. Larkin became a foster failure, and Gumby became a permanent fixture wherever she is. Larkin is a lab, and she has 2 more lab siblings, plus a silky that rules them all. Gumby isn't built to last. My 2 have because no one touches Larkin's favorite toy, and she chooses to be gentle with those. He is totally worth the money in my opinion, though. I just bought two more as Christmas gifts. Update: It is now December 2019. Looking at dog toys for Christmas, I fell back on Gumby. There is no need to buy more. We still have our original 2, plus a few more because those 2 got lost under beds, couches, and the like at one time or another. I imagine when we move we will be in Gumby heaven, but they will all still be blissfully whole (except for that one that lost his arm in a misunderstanding with a foster dog). Reading other reviews, it seems my Larkin is not the only pup transfixed by Gumby. They seem to have quite the Gumby Fan Club. Add him to your favorite pup’s stocking and see if s/he finds the Gumby Magic!
