I have decided to use this as my dedicated mop and have an i-robot roomba S9 as my dedicated vacuum (i-robot m6 mop was a big let down). I don't want to swap any parts to convert from vacuum to mop or vice versa. I just want the floors to be cleaned, with little effort or thinking much about it. The i-robot self empties itself and the narwal self washes and dries the pads.... Awesome!! The narwal packaging is very good. Unboxing felt Apple like. I am bothered that no sample detergent sheets were included to get you going out the box. $1215 with taxes, I would have liked some of the detergent sheets included. I had to order some. So far, this product appears to have been well thought out and engineered. The scanning and map generating is really good. It does a great job Mopping. I love that it routinely returns to the base to wash the pads, then continues where it left off. My floors are clean. Very clean. It has trouble with my bar stools around the island in the kitchen. It will ride up on the grade of the base of the stools and spends quite some time on it before moving on. I had to create barriers around the base of the stools, so the robot won't waste time or smudge the chrome shine with the wet pads. I love that it's so quiet, and looks very modern. The app allows you wash an area up to 3 times if preferred. I have my i-robot vacuum on a schedule and when it's complete, I receive a notification from the irobot app, then I send out the mop with the narwal app. I wish I could set the narwal to mop on a schedule behind the i-robots vacumming schedule. The Narwal app does NOT have an option for setting up a schedule. like, what!!!??? 🤔 I hope this is included in a near future update. I just want to return home from work and my floors are cleaned. A fully automated system with minimal effort on my part is my objective. My dad saw my setup and says I'm lazy...but I think he low key wants one... lol...I would rather do something else than wash my floors... 📺 🏋 🎮 🚲🏃‍♂️ The app I think is very good. Easy setup and use. I really like how I can see the narwal robots travel path and current location on the app. This is a new company and this is their first generation product. It's an excellent effort for a new arrival in this market, among others who have numerous years and are a few generations of products in. But the seasoned companies have reputation and support. Hope the same can be said about Narwal. So far, Good job Narwal!!! my Wish list to be added: Scheduling days and time to mop/ vacuum Integration with ifttt (if this then that) Alexa or Google link. Add some detergent sheets when shipping the robot. edited July 6, 2021. 2 months with the product it is still 👍 great. I've read other reviews on here and can't relate to their issues. setup.... I've setup numerous smart devices that have similar setup that might have given my experience the edge over others. Problem free setup here. Wifi issuse.... there was an occasional wifi issue, but there was a recent update and have not seen that any more. reset.... I was required to reset a couple days ago. Hope it's an isolated incident. Still cleans great.... the first couple times using, the dirty water was embarrassing. I wash the floor every other day, not because I need to, because I can. The dirty water looks like the clean water at this point. updated September 5, 2021. Narwal added the update to schedule cleaning. So the mop washes after the irobot vaccums. Thank you Narwal. Still does an awesome job mopping. Other reviewers have issues and I still can't relate.
