This pulse oximeter is an anxiety diminisher. Since my husband was first diagnosed with COPD over 10 years ago, I have relied on this type of device to keep trac of his oxygen levels and heart rate. He has since passed but I always keep one around since I was dx'ed with SVT a few years ago. For me, the needed info is the heart rate. This is the second unit of this brand I have purchased. After I've had one for a couple of years - I get a new one as backup, in case the older one fails. There were a lot more expensive when I started purchasing them years ago. Now they are a price that is much more affordable. My oldest son has one to monitor his oxygen levels and heart rate when he is on the treadmill. Very helpful.
