I bought this water shoes for my trip to Cancun, Mexico. I have two kids that I have to chase around in their pools and out of pools and this worked just perfectly for that occasion. It was very nice around the beach, because I hate getting sand stuck on every part of my foot after being in the water, and also in the water, because I don't want to feel or expose my fit to any possible creatures underneath the sand, (I've gotten bitten/stung by something while I put my feet into the sand, my toes were paralyzed for few hours.) Anyway, it was super nice around the pool as well because I would get a very nice grip in the pool and my feet were protected from hot concrete out of the pool, I can keep chasing after kids without being in and out of the shoes. Now, the most important part: the fit. The fit was not bad, but I wished I bought a size up but I don't know because I don't know how big the next size is compare to the one I got. I wear size 8 in women and I go up or down depending on the brand or the fit because I have somewhat of a wide feet, but not too wide. I bought the water shoes in size 7.5-8.5 and it gave me a snuggly fit. It really does fits like socks so I feel like the size would've been okay, where my toes have more more to breath? but I didn't buy the next size up so it's just a hypothesis. I read in the reviews of how some people have problems with it getting ripped, and of course it could be because of the poor stitches and all but I wonder if it's because the fit is too tight. When I wore mine, I noticed that I had some room at the heel part of my shoes and I tried to move my feet toward the back, but because of its type of the fabric or the way its constructed, it kept pushing my feet toward the front part of the shoes, constantly adding pressure toward the stitches in the front. Overall, I loved the shoes. It was so functional, and it was so very comfy. I bought the white one, and it was very cute with my outfits. My shoes survived 7 days of hard usage in and out of the pool and on normal walks around the resort. And I still have it with me in perfect condition. Make sure you rinse them after every usage, and it will last in good condition. My shoes are still white.
