After 10 months of occasional use it no longer vac/seals. It will vacuum air out but I must manually hot the seal button and even then it may or may not seal. I thought spending more would assure a reliable product. UPDATE: I didn't realize this particular sealer came with a 5 year warranty. I called the company and explained the problem. They emailed and requested information on place of purchase, receipt, etc. I just heard back today and they are sending me a new sealer.
