Chef Review of Kitchen Scissors
I work as a professional chef, and find that having scissors is needed in the field. I use them to trim pineapple tops, open bags, and many other things as needed. I had a pair of shun scissors before but didn't want to spend the money on another pair. These scissor are very nice and sharp. They are well calibrated such that the two sharp edges meet nicely without too much resistance. It seems to have a pretty well extended metal going into the handle so they won't break easily. They do not come apart, which is the one disappointing thing about these scissors. However, I knew that when I bought them and decided the next best ones were more expensive, and I would be able to clean these well enough. (Plus, working in a commercial kitchen, I have access to a commercial dishwasher that I can run these through and kill all bacteria as needed.) So, these are sharp and won't break. If anything changes about these scissors, or I change my opinion, I will be sure to come back, but I'm very pleased with these scissors and am very optimistic.
