I had given up on finding a pillow that would satisfy my extremely detailed and quirky needs. I tried the cheap pillows, I tried the extremely expensive pillows. I tried goose down and I tried memory foam (great if you want to feel like you’re sleeping with your head molded into a slab of hardening cement) I even bought one of those “my pillows”. You know the one constantly advertised on television and displayed on every endcap in Walmart. It wasn’t a horrible pillow, it just wasn’t what I had always dreamed of. Especially at that price. The deal-breakers alone knocked out most of the pillows in my exhaustive Amazon search (the filling/foam gets too hot during the night, it doesn’t fall back into shape after bending, it doesn’t bend properly when I put it behind my neck to watch tv, it’s too hard, it’s too soft) I understand that most of these “must-haves for a pillow I’ll use” contradict each other. In retrospect, that mash be why I hadn’t found my perfect pillow...... until now... When these pillows arrived and I took them out of the packaging, it was almost as if there was a faint glow that surrounded them as they slowly pulled in the air and expanded to their size. I gave them a little squeeze just see if I was even interested in getting to second base or not.... I WAS interested. I was VERY interested... This pillow had a firmness yet I softness that I can’t really describe. The inner filling is exactly as described (premium super plush “gel fiber”) But I would have never known what “super plush gel fiber” felt like until I actually got my hands on it. It is amazing! The pillows are very large. They are described as king size, but they are extremely large. They would not fit in my standard pillowcases, but I wouldn’t care if I had to sleep with them with no pillow case at all. I’ve never slept as soundly and as comfortably as I have with these pillows. They are miraculous. A pillow is an extremely personal item and something you really have to experience to appreciate, so I won’t go into too much detail explaining the unexplainable. Also, different people prefer different types of pillows. My roommate saw me on boxing my pillows and came over to look at them. I’ll shorten this part of the story by saying he now owns two of them himself. I want to tell you that, as picky as I am, these pillows are perfection for me... after nearly giving up looking and with several days every month of severe arm/neck/back pain resulting from a C5/C6 disc herniation and resulting radicliopathy, this brilliantly designed pillow almost seems providential. They have the perfect amount of support for my head while giving the perfect amount of resistance. They are substantial in heft, yet soft and fluffy. They are extremely hard to describe, but let me just tell you to do this... Go ahead and buy the pillows. You’re going to love them and if you don’t buy them, you’re going to wish you had. Besides that, if you buy them and for some crazy reason I can’t even imagine, they don’t meet your needs, just return them. That’s the beauty of Amazon and their unbelievable customer service. I do want to add an additional note here: I ordered the pillowcases from the company that made the pillow, Zen. I assumed that, since the pillowcases were made by the manufacturer of the pillow, they would fit. They fit, but not perfectly. That’s why I’m on Amazon right now. I’m going to order some fabric fastener Velcro tabs to put on the opening of the pillowcase to keep it closed. OK, I hope you buy these pillows and I hope you love them as much as I do. Let me know!
