I bought this because I like following recipes from YouTube and this makes mincing garlic easier. Anyways when my Hispanic mom saw me using it she started laughing and said something along the lines of “this generation is so lazy” but in a more rude but loving Hispanic way. Then she stood there examining myself and this press for about 2 minutes before glaring at me, my sizzling pan and then walking away. Fast forward to the weekend and we were prepping for a carne asada, I came out of my room to help my loving old school Hispanic mom prep the meat and behold !! My mom, part of the not lazy generation, was using my garlic press. I then told her “what would my grandma think? (Her mom)” she looked at me and responded “well I need to mince a lot of garlic and using a knife takes a while, this speeds up the process maybe we do need lazy people”. Again this was said in that classic Hispanic immigrant mom way. I started smiling and had that I told you so grin started to creep in but before my mom had the change to grab the kitchen towel and give me a few whacks I walked away with a sweet sweet victory. The press: sturdy and gets the job done. You don’t need much force because...they’re garlic cloves and not coconuts. It is a little tough to clean though because of the holes. Other than that 10/10.
