It works for me!
All of the slots are horizontal so there's that! My 4x6 inch photos fit comfortably so I have no worries. Also you can change out the picture on the cover to whatever you want but it will have to be cut down to size to get it to fit. No big deal. Posted some pics. Hope they help. And I experienced no "smell" to speak of so....
