I bought this probiotic spray in the hopes of balancing my scalp ph and microbiome, and it worked! I have scalp SD triggered by malasezzia yeast which clogs my pores to make me produce more oil (since it feeds off of fat, not sugar), and was thus causing severe inflamation on my scalp and massive hair fall. No dermatologist could help, and no DHT blocker nor hair regrowth treatment did anything for me (not even the expensive plasma injections in specialized hair growth clinics, which actually inflamated my scalp worse and made it more sensitive!! ... can’t believe they are so fixated on DHT that they have no clue about other causes of hairfall...) I also tried all the hair oils you can think of and as you can imagine, i made it worse bc the yeast feeds off oils... i had to find out the hard way!! All this was confirmed by a scalp biopsy. Still trying to figure out what caused the sudden microbiome imbalance on my scalp (most probably a strong antibiotic course) and why all of a sudden my body is producing more oily scalp (my functional dr says i don’t metabolize fatty acids well, so there might be a connection there...) But in the mean time, washing my hair with a SLS free, oil free (read labels VERY carefully and do your research), apple cider vinegar shampoo (i’m using Aveeno’s at the moment, no conditioner), and then rinsing with Applebiotic’s ACV probiotic rinse in the shower, and to top it off, after towel drying my hair, i spray this wonderful probiotic spray all over my scalp as a leave-in treatment. Works wonders if i don’t skip any of the steps! If i do, i feel the itchiness come back and more hair than usual will start falling off again. I’m happy to say that my hair is growing back and that keeping my scalp balanced and healthy has been the secret.
