Original Review: Must PAY or there is NO playback from the SD card from the phone app. In another word, no PAY, no PLAY. Will consider a review if manufacturer remove the requirement of subscription. Edit: Tech Support responded: "It is not necessary to have a cloud subscription if you have an SD card. You can view and play the videos recorded to the SD card by going to the camera's live view on the app and then dragging through the timeline. The timeline will have colored lines that represent the recorded videos." Thanks to YI Tech Support
