I was originally going to buy a Chilipad for $599 because of all the reviews and YouTube videos saying how good it was, then I came across Mattress Cooler "Classic" and read one of the reviews and the response from the manufacture that stated that they created this product after buying a Chilipad so I decided to give their product a try. It's $300 less with a 30 day trial, so I figured I couldn't loose. Set it last up last night and noticed a couple things that worry me and some minor issues. The instructions could have been a little better, but I was able to figure it out. I also noticed and hope they will fix the tubes for the water which are only held on by friction. They are tight, but I would rather see pressure fittings or maybe clamps to hold them to the mattress pad. The tubes can only be installed on the chiller on the one side which makes it kind of difficult if you are on the other side of the bed (they really should come out the back). The remote only works when pointed at the front of the chiller which I think you wouldn’t want to face you because it blows out warm air from chilling the water. Other than those small issues it really works. I’m a furnace: I never wear a coat in the wintertime, keep the window open in the bedroom and the wife needs to keep her heating pad on year round because of the AC in the bedroom. Anyway, as soon as I turned it on, I noticed the cooling effect and was impressed I set it for the best option for cooling high fan, coolest setting, and went to bed loving this Mattress cooler. 2 hours later to my surprise I woke up cold and that was with the bedroom AC off and a sheet and comforter covering me up. I’ve only had it for one night and as of right now I can highly recommend it for the price. It really does work and you just need to get over the few annoyances with the remote, worrying about the tubes coming undone and in my case, the direction the tubes come out of the cooler. If they had a pillow chiller that worked inline with the mattress pad, I would be in heaven. Seriously if you are looking at the Chilipad try this first and save the $300.00. You can always return it. I will update this if any issues arise. Thank you
