I have 5 kids and about had a heart attack when 2 of them brought lice home! I hired a professional lice removal person and here is what they did: 1) comb (DRY HAIR) with nit comb this is key, nits HAVE to be removed! People who say products kills the eggs are misinformed! she used Fairytales Terminator comb : available on Amazon or Ulta beauty supply- for long hair, part into 3 sections, start with bottom, clip sides forward, working thru each section 2) After combing is complete, spray/saturate with ACU LIFE LICE CURE (also available on amazon)leave in AT LEAST 20 minutes or overnight before washing out. 3) Repeat combing after 4 days, no spray unless there are live bugs (re-comb weekly to ensure nits are gone & for prevention(comb only not spray); spray is for killing live bugs)- I treated my whole family with spray first time even though not all had lice 4) For Prevention : Fairy Tales Rosemary leave-in conditioning spray was recommended for daily prevention (spray before school), as well as shampoo Fairy Tales Rosemary repel & conditioner.
