This was an ill-advised Christmas present to my girlfriend. She can't cook to save her life. She would burn water. Anywho, she knows all this and yet still got offended when I offered the book to her as, what I thought to be, a simple and honest gesture of self-help. After all, who's going to cook for her if I die? McDonald's, that's who. And then she's going to get all fat and unhappy and wish even more that I hadn't died. I was trying to prevent inevitable future depression for the girl and all I got was a punch in the arm and a devil's glare. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
