The first one I purchased charged but would not turn on. I exchanged it for a second figuring the first was a dud. The second one came and the same thing happened. It charged but would not turn on. I ended up returning it as well and giving up. Then I purchased it directly from PMD during an amazing sale and while on their website I found this under Tips and Tricks: "TRAVEL LOCK - Device may come with travel lock activated. To disable, hold SonicGlow and ActiveWarmth power buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds- light will flash when disabled. To enable before a trip, hold both buttons down simultaneously for 3 second, light will flash." Argh! Knowing that would have saved me TWO returns. But for some reason this product doesn't come with instructions or pamphlet about the product inside the box. Even if you could watch YouTube videos or Google how to use the product, or even figure it out on your own, people NEED to know about the Travel Lock function. It's a great idea when traveling and it's good to know if the product will have the lock engaged when they receive it. It would be nice if there was a small insert just explaining this option. Thankfully, the one I ordered through the PMD website did not have the lock engaged and I have been using it every day and night and it is awesome! I wanted to give five stars because of how wonderful it is but I had to deduct one for no instructions inside about the travel lock.
