what you need to do when using this
I had a plantar wart on my left foot for 2 years. Didn't know what it was. It didn't hurt or bother my walking, just looked like a small hardened piece of skin eraser size about an inch below my 4th toe. I would pick at it periodically or file with an emery board and it would smoothen it but wouldn't go away. I thought it was dead skin that healed weird from a piece of glass I stepped on. Come to find out that piece of glass I dug out allowed the HPV virus that can cause warts into my open wound and caused this. It sounds worse then it was. I tried nail clippers to remove the small circle of hard skid, thinking it could be a callus also and it wouldn't ever go away. One day recently it occurred to me it was a wart.
I bought this product. Soaked my foot in warm water after washing it as the package directed. Then applied the pencil eraser sized disc to the wart. they come with larger oval "cushions" to comfort your walk if you have painful warts. I used them but just to help keep the tiny disc on. You change these ever 48 hours. The comfort pads are actually super sticky, contrary to my belief. I did forget to remove one while showering and then it did come off. But it never came off with socks and shoes running around all day or with flip-flops in the hot sun.I only removed this product for showering and to change though. First change 48 hours later my wart was bright white. I mean white as snow. Kind of looked like a blister. I touched it and it was just white skin. After 3 sessions of 48 hour changes I wondered why nothing happened. I realized by reading doctors reviews that you "peel away" your wart. Sounds awful, but it is not. It's like peeling a piece of skin. I used my fingernail to start picking at the whitened area. To my surprise, a layer of white (dead) skin peeled off like a sticker. NO PAIN. No bleeding or anything. It did not hurt, and I'm a girl so I'd mention.
Remember to always wash your hands and effected area between touching. warts (some) can spread and you don't want any more.
After every 3 days for 2 weeks I repeated the peeling. I even removed it after one shower one day and forgot to re-apply until the next day. The white skin turned normal color and the area was getting smooth and didn't leave an open wound or hurt. I just re-applied asap. I used 16 discs and mine was gone.
This was super convenient and inexpensive. I included this detail since i would have never known you have to peel away the layers of skin to remove the wart. If you don't do this, it just comes right back and you waste your money.Hope this helps :)
