New Lease on Life!!!
I have been suffering from chronic fatigue for over two years. There was a point where I remained in bed for 20-22 hours per day. It was too much work to get out of bed, too much work to do pretty much anything. At that time, I taught a few fitness classes per week and was collecting unemployment (as I just lost my job of 8 years a few months earlier). I would force myself up, shower and teach my class, return home and crash until I had to do it again. I've tried many things to try and regain my energy. I switched to a gluten free diet, and that gave me enough energy to zombie through the day, but I had no motivation to do anything. I had to mentally prepare to do anything out of my usual schedule. My family and friends couldn't understand how I never wanted to go anywhere or do anything. My bed was where I wanted to be, or at least I wanted it close by. As I continued the gluten-free diet, I regained about 20ish percent of my usual energy. Enough to get through the day with many naps inbetween. I stated drinking green tea. That helped for about a week, and i guess my body got used to it. I tried increasing carbs...that made me feel more slugglish. I started taking various supplements including iron (as I was diagnosed anemic) hoping that would help my chronic fatigue. Black Strap Molasses someone told me. Didn't help. Green SMoothies....Didn't help. Trial and error, trial and error. I ordered J. Crow's Lugol's Iodine Solution back in July. The Dietician said...."NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, don't take that. You can get iodine poisoning. You get enough iodine from processed foods and salt." She has the degree, i was just fatigued, so i listned to her. I started doing this food tracking app to see if I was getting enough calories. I was getting plenty. Over the course of six months, i've had about 15 vials of blood drawn. Levels are all normal. I began breaking out in hives. Chronic Urticaria. Brain Fog....losing memory....i'm too young for this. Anyway, no real answers....i was on my own. In October, I came across this Iodine that I ordered months ago. Since i've tried everything else, I figured it was worth a try. I started with two drops in a glass of water. It was disgusting. Nothing. The next day I did another two drops....again nothing, but the taste wasn't so bad. I increased to three drops the following day -- i couldn't taste the iodine in the water at all. I started playing around with th enumber of drops and the times of day I would consume the iodine. I worked my way up to six drops three times a day and viola ---it happened. I was AWAKE ALL DAY....i couldn't lye down, even if i tried. I still had ups and downs energy-wise, but i was having more ups than downs. THIS WAS REAL PROGRESS!!!!!!!! I worked my way to 8 drops in every bottle of water I drank. FOr me, that seems to do the trick. I feel motivated to clean, cook, to do everyday stuff that "normal, non-fatigued" people do all the time. I once told my dietician..... "if I didn't know myself, and didn't go through depression before, I would think I'm depressed." That feeling went away. This is what life is like. I began to supplement with adrenal suppport a few times a week. ......
Side effects:
- I feel thirsty all the time -- I crave my iodine water.
- I go to the bathroom ALL the time. ---i guess i'm flushing out toxins......who knows, i feel better so i'm not stopping
- INCREASED ENERGY
- Brain fog disappeared
- Internal motivation
- I'm awake to enjoy life.
