Does its job well
I needed to heat the finished portion of my basement. There is some residual heat from the furnace located behind closed doors in the unfinished portion of the basement, but not nearly enough. I live in Massachusetts and the temperatures outdoors lately have ranged from overnight lows of 14 degrees to midday highs of 35 degrees or so. The finished portion of the basement consists of two rooms with a large opening between them (no door). The space is about 550 sq. ft. total. After initially trying a Lasko 758000 cyclonic ceramic heater, I found that model could only get the space to about 65 degrees after letting it run for 24 hours. This low-profile model, however, warmed the space from 65 to 70 degrees within 30 minutes of turning it on. It has now been close to two hours, and the room temp. is holding steady at 69 degrees. Unlike the cyclonic ceramic, this heater runs absolutely silently. I recommend this model to anyone with similar needs.
