We got this ottoman because we wanted storage st our front door for shoes. We never wear shoes in the house and always take it off when we are st the door. I got tired of piles of shoes by the front door. It looked messy. I found this ottoman and have been using it to store everyday shoes. The quality is far more than what I thought it would be. The stitching and the fabric is great. It feels good when you sit on it too. The cushion on top is quiet thick and sturdy. It doesn't feel like you're going to break the thing if you do sit on it to put your shoes on. We also have a dog. We have to walk her 3 times a day. We use this to store her leash and poop bags. It's been working out great because we have to get out shoes in there anyway to go out and walk her. I also like that both sides open half way. Instead of one top coming off which is bulky and you have to move the top, this just flips over half way. No need to put the top anywhere or put any muscle in lifting it up. I chose the light grey fabric. It's modern and comfy looking. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone.
