It's huge - make sure there is room, esp. if you have a truss roof. It moves a lot of air, but high speed is a bit noisy.
Pros: Moves a ton of air, is much quieter than traditional fans.
Cons: It is somewhat louder than I expected on high speed. You can definitely hear the air flowing through the grate (not quite a whistle, but getting close). Medium speed (see below) is much quieter, and low is close to silent unless you are pretty close.
Be aware: The duct and fan head are very large (24" diameter) - make sure you have the attic space and clearance in the vicinity of where you intend to mount it.
The constant breeze is great and it made 80 degree indoor temperatures not just tolerable, but very comfortable. This is in a low humidity area, so don't expect it to work very well in Missouri or Georgia...in dry states, though, it's a winner.
Bonus! You can get a medium speed with a little bit of extra wiring work. The main harness (between the motor and the electrical box on top of the fan)) has a yellow wire that was cut and capped off. Yellow corresponds to the medium speed on their more expensive "pro" fans, and sure enough when I connected it up I got a speed in between low and high. Note that you will need a 14/3 wire (instead of a 14/2) to run from the speed control switch to the fan, and you will also need a different switch. Refer to the installation manual of their Stealth Pro 7.0X fan for more details. Sort of a bummer that they don't provide you with all 3 speeds for this model out of the box...The functionality is already there, and they are certainly making enough money on it...
