I have a story about this little unit. One day as it was set to "auto", just a couple weeks after receiving it, I was uncertain if it was making much of a difference in my kitchen/dining area. I accidentally overheated a cast-iron skillet and thr air started to get pretty smoky. Suddenly I heard the air purifier (which was still set to automatic) kick on to high and it started to purify the air. In that moment I realized that it actually was doing something as it helped clean the smoky air in the environment. The only reason I give this a 4 over 5 stars is because I tried to be extremely constructive in my reviews and the price at $125+ seem a bit high, maybe I just don't fully understand all of the benefits of its features yet… I've thought air purifiers in the past for closer to the $80 price range that have also been effective.
