It may be that, after reading a number of reviews on Amazon, you're still confused. Does this towel work as advertised? Will it soothe me after an arduous round of bocce ball? Will it cool me on my journey to the hell on earth that is Arizona? I'm here to make things crystal clear for you, as I've a pack of these towels chilling at (okay, near) my fingertips as I type this. I'll walk you through things very quickly: Imagine taking a piece of fabric, be it terry cloth, seersucker or even find Alabama cotton. Now take that fabric and soak it in room temperature water. Wring it out, but, if the Lord has blessed you with very strong hands, not so much that you're left with a dry piece of fabric, as you'll then need to repeat the soak. Now comes the magic. Now comes the heralded 'snap' you've read so much about in the other reviews. "I just snap the thing and it's cold all over again," says Louisa. You're not sure what to do, really, as there are no instructions, no bulleted how-to-snap. So you just ...pull on both ends quickly and imagine a snapping sound. Then you do that a few times, mostly for effect. No, you didn't snap anything, unless you're very weak-wristed (osteoporosis is a thing!). And then ... oh my oh my ... and then you take that ice towel and drape it upon your warm and waiting neck. Imagine, if you will, the sensation as you notice that the room temperature water has been miraculously transformed into a room-temperate towel. Consider the power of the revelation that strikes when you suddenly realize that you've a house filled with ice towels. Every hand towel, t-shirt, curtain, carpet, even your dog's comfy bed .... you likely live in a veritable ice towel mine. With just a pair of scissors (or those very strong hands), you've got yourself an ice towel FACTORY. I'd give six stars, if I could reward chutzpah and audacity.
