You're gonna like this rascal !
Unlike some of the reviews I read, this WILL put out a good sized fire as you can see in my video. It helps to read the instructions first. I learned there is a safety device that is triggered if the propane tank valve is opened too fast. It restricts the flow & therefore you will be unable to get a big flame. Open it slowly, then It will be possible to have any size flame you desire by controlling it with the dial on the firepit. We were also pleasantly surprised by the amount of heat put out even on the low setting.
There is no built in igniter with it but they usually don't last or have other problems anyway. Therefore I don't consider that a drawback. Due to the way it starts one of those looong lighters is recommended.
We live out in the country where we have a large firepit in the front yard & a cane kettle buried in the ground for a firepit close in to the back porch. Smoke, wind, rain, & temperature sometimes curtail the use of either of them. We also have a woodstove in the house but like sitting outdoors if possible. Enter the propane firepit ! Now we can sit in comfortable chairs on the front porch in most any kind of weather. (and stay warmer)
This firepit puts out plenty of heat & you can seat as many around it as you have chairs for. They ALL enjoy it.! If you have an RV you know how people can congregate & gab at your site if there is anything going on. Well...if you set this little bugger up don't expect to get to bed early. It'll attract people to it like bugs to a light ! Go ahead...get one, you'll be glad you did.
