First off the package will seem too small. The contents are so sweet that upon opening the bag for the first time I could taste the sweetness. It is pretty strong. The extract will look an off brown or dark straw color. I wanted to use this as a full on direct sugar replacement for iced tea. This product does that extremely well. There is a very light aftertaste, but no where near most sugar substitures. When mixing the did notice the powder will try to clump up just a bit. I used a wisk and everything was fine. I mix one tablespoon of the product to 1 US gallon of brewed tea. This sweatens the tea to almost the same sweatness as 3/4 cup of regular sugar per gallon. I sometimes also use 2 teaspoons of flaovor extract like vanilla or peach in the mix. Using one of these and I cannot taste any discernable aftertaste. Overall I am very happy using the product as a complete sugar replacement.
