I needed lights for a new7' Christmas tree my family gave me. One strand nicely lit the tree. Pros: - LONG strand of lights let us use a single strand for the whole tree. - Option to switch from white (gold, not bluish light) to color (bright and vivid, not that strange dark LED coloring of old) - Remote worked well, but button on control box allows you to switch options as well, though not sure about brightness. Cons: - No plug at the end, which I knew about, but wanted to highlight as you can't connect them in a row with another strand - Premade light shows are almost all obnoxious. Seizure-like blinking is the main problem. I could really only use 3 options; steady on white, steady on colored, and smooth transition back and forth between white and color. Option 9 is a black to bright to black color to white transition. It's nice enough, but 8 was a steady light. I think a better control to leave steady on with adjusting color vs. white and letting you blend the two yourself would be awesome. - Directions were not in my package, so while a timer button exists, I have no idea whether it was on or off, or how to set it, so I just manually controlled it. Overall, this is a nice long strand that will work for anyone who needs one single strand. You cannot connect multiple into a series.
