Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I was skeptical about getting this due to the reviews of the product not working out of the box, but based upon chef reviews that I read (outside of Amazon) they gave this one a "best bang for your buck rating". From my research Philips has the best ratings bar none, but it is also more than double the price of this one. Based on this I ordered the GoWISE for my first experience with an air fryer and so far I love this little machine! The first thing I tried were frozen french fries and they were fabulous! It takes a little getting use to on how to operate the machine and the times & temperatures to cook food for your preferred level of "doneness" (we like medium rare to medium for meat in my house so that is a little harder to figure out than well done). I am finding the "presets" are overcooking food for my preference but I'm figuring it out quickly and having fun doing it. A couple of suggestions; Purchase perforated liners to use in the basket -- they make clean-up a breeze!. And, get the largest size basket you can afford to get. I was unsure of which size I should get -- I ended up buying the 5.8 quart and I'm so glad I did. It is perfect for just 2 of us, (I'll give you that my husband does have an extremely healthy appetite!).
