I really dig these lights! What is great about them is that the light sensor must be inside the bulb - at least wherever it is is not obvious. I bought them for security and if a burglar could see they were turning themselves on and off, they would be less effective as a deterrent. They turn on at just the correct darkness level, and they are off in the morning long before I wake. I presume confidently they turn off at a similar light level. At just 5W per bulb it costs just 1.2 cents per day to run all FOUR bulbs! That's less than $5 per YEAR to have my house automatically lit up at night! I joke with my wife how much I rely my four little sentry guard buddies! Incandescent light bulbs are so entirely obsolete. My entire house is LED now and I trashed the incandescent bulbs because they are worthless. The house was filled with 60W bulbs and now is filled with 5.6W bulbs. In one day I decreased the energy usage of our lights by over 90%... which feels really good!
