I waited 3 months to write my review and I couldn’t be happier! It seems the negative reviews are coming from people who didn’t note that this is a canister vacuum meant for hardwood floors. I was looking for a non-roller vacuum as 90% of the floors in my home are hardwood and the short pile carpets I have scattered around are OCD clean after being cleaned with this thing! It is SO powerful! Just be warned that a roller brush is needed to make vacuuming carpet easier, so look for a Meile specific for carpets if that’s what the majority of your surfaces are. Prior to this vacuum, I had issue with the rollers on vacuums getting clogged up with the long hair of my daughter, myself and our pets. No longer an issue with this machine. It makes vacuuming fun! Yes, fun!
