I’m going to Mexico in a couple weeks and have also gained a few pounds since last summer and therefore need some new clothes for the trip. I took my measurements and am currently 35.5” waist & 42” hip. I’m 5’7 and weigh about 175lbs. I was super nervous about ordering these as I feel like my sizing has always been all over the place. I carry most of my weight in my chest and tummy and have athletic-built legs & a somewhat smaller bum. I purchased the Large in the “L Shorts Blue” and am in LOVE with them!!! The high rise fits my waist perfectly and I can still breathe. What I really like is that I can hike them up to the fullest and the rear pockets don’t show that was the intent. Lol. They are pretty stretchy and very soft — which I much prefer over hard, stiff and unforgiving denim. I am thrilled with this purchase and will definitely purchase another pair!!! :)
