Price and perofrmance beats the other guys
I swim laps almost every day. (It's about the only exercise the aging joints can withstand.) However, the boredom of lap swimming is well-known - so, MUSIC. During the past three years I think I've tried four different brands and this Diver product is the only one that holds up to the punishment of daily submersion. Don't be fooled by the "UwaterG4-8" products. That one lasted three months before it crapped out. The Diver from Go2 products has lasted 14 months with almost daily service. Loading songs is easy for even a dumb old guy like me. And you can change up the playlist every time you recharge. Sometimes I do a Springsteen workout; sometimes I listen to the Soundtrack from Les Miserable. February 2014 update: The original equipment headphones finally died (after 15 months of almost daily use), so I replaced them with some more costly JBL headphones. And, damn, the sound quality is great. BTW, I just got the newest Diver 4GB unit and will update my review when I get a few months of underwater time on them. Update: It's been 6 months with the new unit in almost daily use and the poor little thing refused to hold a charge anymore. BUT thanks to some extraordinary customer service, they rushed a replacement unit (on warranty)so now all is happy again. It's now October 2015 and the unit I got in February 2014 just died. I'm not mad; I got my money's worth. Swimming aggressive laps 1.5 miles daily. And to the guys that can't keep the earbuds in: sometimes they fall out, but just shake it off and stick it back in. The same things happen to the guys swimming next to me with waterproof ipods and Sony units. For $50 bucks I'll happily endorse this product over the others.
