I only bought this one because I needed to replace my original one that was stolen from my car..... I originally had the ADC one. Since I needed one fast I tried to save a few buck and try out this one because it was way cheaper. Bottom line..... this is basically the same as the ADC one I had, it was just about 150-200 dollars cheaper...... however, it works fine! If you know what you’re looking for, and know how to use an ophthalmoscope this will be enough to see the structures and identify pathology.... if you’re a student, it may be more challenging, but not to the point where the 650 dollar Welch Allen will help you see things any better..... I would start with this, then maybe sample some of the other classmate’s, if they have another brand.... then you can always upgrade later.... if you’re like most students, your probably already hurting for spare cash anyway, so I would suggest you just get this and go from there....
