These lights add a nice touch to our outdoor decorations. We hung them from a multi-branched birch tree in front yard where they are visible as you drive down the road. We have about ten sets on the tree so they are impressive and cool to watch. One key thing that we did was to put the electrical plugs into plastic containers to keep them out of the rain or snow. Also when plugging the strings together, 5 strings max, you must have them plugged together with the correct polarity. If they don't come on you have them plugged in wrong. Do one string at a time and you will have no problems.
