I had to buy this because I have so many Greenworks 80V yard maintenance tools. I already have a Black and Decker 60V mower so I have an opportunity for a comparison. I find I can cut a bit further with the BD lawn mower but it takes the BD mower 60v battery 7 times as long (3.5 hrs) to recharge as it takes the Greenworks 80v battery to recharge (30 minutes). The BD mower has a molded housing vs the steel housing of the Greenworks mower making the Greenworks mower heavier. The Greenworks maximum height cut (I haven't measured this) is greater than the BD height. Both are good mowers but the Greenworks mower is a part of a family of products based on the 80v power system. To me there is no second guessing. I didn't make a mistake buying the BD mower but if I had it to do over I wouldn't have done that, saving myself about $500 net. I would stay focused on the Greenworks product line. I'm believing that should a problem arise with any of my tools, Greenworks will be there to support a proper solution.
