Murder, Mayhem, Hollywood!
Murder, or almost murder, twice? Thrice? Hollywood moghuls, drama of the rich and well-connected? Well I can’t really give it all away, that would be a crime against fiction, you will have to read the book to find out. You won’t be disappointed, this is a great read.
This story tantalizes from the first page, and simmers with a low level mystery at first that heats up slowly and builds to its epic conclusion. There are no dull boring filler sequences, it is tightly written with the reveals coming at the right places. I began the story thinking it would be predictable, but it really isn’t; only a couple of my expectations came to pass, and I was surprised with a few of the twists along the way. I also like that the author can weave a suspenseful story without resorting to gratuitous profanity or cheap sex scenes, you’ll find none of that here.
There is a brief epilogue, a sort of denouement, and it ties up a few loose ends to close the story, also tightly written so as not to be anticlimactic. Overall one of the more satisfying reads I’ve had in a while.
