I bought this mattress after much searching for the perfect bed in a box. I knew I wanted a hybrid (meaning memory foam and gel layers on top, coils on the bottom layer) and I knew I wanted a 12" mattress. The top of my budget was $500, and I looked at many options for less than that, but I'm glad I spent my entire budget on this mattress. It's the most important piece of furniture that you own. I've read so many mattress reviews on here that I'll just summarize my experience in bullets: -NO bad odor of memory foam. NONE -Shipped quickly and box arrived in good condition -I allowed the full suggested 72 hours to let mattress inflate and I suggest that everyone does the same. I suffered on my sleeping pad for three nights (see photo) because I didn't want to ruin the inflation process. And after three days I could see the difference and I'm glad I waited. -Mattress inflated to full 12 inches. -Mattress is medium firm and SO COMFY. Memory foam always starts out firmer and gets more softer as you use. -Mattress sleeps slightly hot but I suspect that will get better once I get a mattress protector. -I sleep like a baby Take the plunge and buy this mattress!!!
