These actually work! I got these to install into my ceiling fans so my plants could go anywhere, and I ended up putting one of these and one normal 'warm' bulb in each fan. It's a bit odd, sure, but the mixed light color doesn't look bad, and the plants respond well to these. One of them is actually growing away from the window and toward the fan! EDIT: t +6 mo. Still going on the same two bulbs since I got them in early July, using them as regular room lights, with two more sitting in a drawer. The plants are well. EDIT: t +12mo. A year later, both of the lights I am using are still going after normal use as a room light, with the other two as spares in the back of a cabinet. I have plants that haven't gotten any direct real sunlight for almost as long that are still growing quite well thanks to these. EDIT: t +30mo. I still am using the same two bulbs after two and a half years, and all my plants are still alive including the one that never gets any direct sunlight. I still have two more bulbs in a drawer somewhere, and when they finally die I will not hesitate to buy from this company again. EDIT: t +73mo. Finally, after just over six years, FINALLY both of my original bulbs have died. The first one died two years and change ago, but I forgot to update my review. Mind you, I'm using these daily as regular old bulbs in ceiling fans. I honestly thought the second one must have died and I just forgot about it, but nope: I dug up the fourth bulb, still in the remnants of my original 4-pack from 2014 and just installed it. It's 2020 now, I'll take whatever good news I can get. Time to order another box I guess!
