I took heed of the previous reviews and (1) installed the handle upside down because I'm short and (2) wiped a bit of silicone along the edges of the battery before placing it in the compartment, and (3) used a bolt instead of that flimsy pin to secure the wheel assembly. These three hacks worked out perfectly. But beware of the instructions! Had I followed them, the tines would have been installed backwards. Use your common sense and compare with the drawings when placing them on the shaft. The circle pins supplied don't seem to have any use at all; use the big cotter pins on the shaft. Then I fired this up and did two weeks' worth of work in one day. I used up the battery in the morning, charged it, and then used it up again in the evening. It worked perfectly to turn over the top layer of small weeds that show up in late winter; later in the year I'll mow or weedeat the taller weeds before I turn them over with this cultivator. I'm a 70-year-old woman and was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up my giant garden, but I will be able to now.
