First, I should say that I constantly use my phone while it's plugged in and am extremely hard on charging cables. Inevitably, the rubber ends up splitting near the end that plugs into the phone or the metal bit gets bent so it won't stay plugged into my phone or the metal connector becomes completely dislodged from the cord. I decided to try a nylon wrapped cord and was a bit overwhelmed at the sheer number available on Amazon. I decided to narrow down that list by only looking at those that had the best mix of a high number of 5 star reviews, very few 1 star reviews and at least 100 total reviews. In the end, this cable seemed to be the most promising, and I purchased it. Right out of the box you can tell the braided covering on this cable is extremely durable, but it's also very flexible. The covering also keeps the cord from twisting around itself which is something that slightly annoys me about those with a rubber casing. The metal connectors on both ends are securely attached to the cord, and after hours of daily use over several weeks of using my phone while the cable is connected, the cable remains as securely connected to my phone as it did on day one. Because I've been burned in the past, I was very skeptical about it being a "fast charging" cable especially given its long length. I still have the Samsung fast charger plug-in part that came with my phone, and while I don't have a fancy apparatus to test the charging speed, this cable charges around 40-45% faster than a regular cable. It's actually faster than the Samsung cable that came with my phone. It is definitely a fast charging cable. Hands down, this is the best charging cable I have ever used and can 100% recommend it. **UPDATE** March 3, 2019 I ordered two different types of charging cords from 2 different sellers (one Android & 1 Apple). I was having a problem with the Apple cord from a different seller, but I accidentally mixed up the seller's and messaged the seller of this cord. Even though my purchase of this cord was long past the replacement/return window, this seller immediately offered to replace my cord free of charge. Thankfully, I caught my own mistake before the seller sent the replacement, but I was impressed that they were willing to send me another cord without question even though it was out of warranty! However, this cord has had months of use and looks & works like it did on day one. I have even more confidence in recommending this charging cable.
