My husband hates most beach tents/umbrellas(this is our third purchase) because they are a pain and fly away in our Caribbean weather... However this is a total breeze to put up and take down by yourself. The stakes that come with it work great on the beach as well. We live in the Caribbean and our beaches are very sandy and the breeze is strong. This tent holds up great (we put the beach bag and cooler in the tent for extra weight), it's super roomy (three kiddies, bags and still room for mom to get in and nurse). You should purchase a beach mat as an add on.
