Coming From a Cable Guy
Recently our local cable company encrypted all of our basic channels. Which means now you have to rent a box from them for each TV. - I didn't spend a bunch of money on HD TV's with expensive tuners in them only to have to bypass all that functionality by renting a cable box. All of my TV's are wall mounted neatly with no cables showing, and as far as I'm concerned theres no room for an extra cable box (I don't care how small it is) If you're like me, you really don't care how many channels you get, you just want the locals to come through in HD with no digital tiling. This antenna did the trick ! I professionally installed it in my attic using high quality RG-6 cable, and fittings. I connected the cable to the power supply, and then to a high quality 4-way splitter, and finally to 4 of my TV's. I couldn't be happier. I ended up picking up 59 DTV channels from the suburbs of Chicago. But like I said before, all I really care about is the locals in HD, and they are coming in loud and clear without any breakup !
